South Southerners Reject Biafra, Tells Nnamdi Kanu To Remove Them From His Biafra Map
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu had released the map containing 25 provinces that allegedly makes up Biafra. These provinces include Agbor, Asaba, Aba, Owerri, Umuahia, Orlu, Ikot Ekpene, Uyo, Eket, Ogoja, Calabar, Enugu, Oji-River, Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Okigwe, Annang, Abakaliki, Yenegoa, Warri, Ahoada, Ugheli, Degema, Port Harcourt.
While announcing it on his twitter handle, Nnamdi Kanu wrote “Our mission is to restore the Republic of Biafra and nothing else is another option.”
It would be recalled that there has been a decisive call from the Eastern part of Nigeria for a referendum that will see them break away from Nigeria. According these set of people, they have been unnecessarily marginalized and unfairly treated in Nigeria among other reasons.
Reacting to the Biafra map released by Nnamdi Kanu on social media, South Southerners have called out the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra to remove them from his map saying that they don’t want to be part of his project. Here are some of the reactions from South Southerners.
Omasoro Ali Ovie “Please kindly remove South South from your country. You claim that Fulani is dominating you with their population, yet you want to dominate other people with your population. We in South South are all related to the Benin Empire, and Ile Ife in Osun. We will not surrender to you.”
Kenneth Oboh “Kanu, u shud wake up from slumber. It is obvious u are after the oil in the South. You cannot colonize south south. Warri, calabar, yenagoa sapele dont hav anytin in common wit ur Eastern states. I suggest u express ur “biafra ambition” within d ambits of caution & not incursion.”
Sammy “This guy just sniff cocaine, what does warri people have in common with ibos?”
Dini “I don’t know where you Biafra people get your grand illusions from that makes you think Bayelsa and Yenegoa is part of you Biafra. We have not forgotten what happened in the war.”
Jack Essien10 “The map alone shows this whole thing is a huge comedy. Imagine where they placed Eket Province in the map probably produced in Aba. From the coastline in Akwa Ibom, Eket moved up over 600km to sit close to Abakiliki and northern Cross River. They fake even their own map. Lol!!!!”
Uko Akpan Etuk “Your mission is dead on arrival. You want to appropriate to your mission states that are not Igbo States & don’t even have the decency of knowing the various ethnic groupings within those States nor their positioning on the maps.Don’t worry,South-south especially Akwa Ibom is out”
Victor Izi “Strange…That you could separate Onitcha, Asaba, Agbor, Yenegoa, and Warri from Benin tells so much of your history. You’re getting it wrong already. I’ll rather you do a better consultation with other nationalities.”
