Arrest Buhari: Imam Of Peace, Omokri, Kanu Angry Over Killings
Popular Iranian-born Australia-based Islamic cleric, Mohammad Tawhidi aka Imam of Peace, alongside Nigerian author and lawyer Reno Omokri and the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed anger over killings in Northern Nigeria.
The hashtag, ‘ArrestBuhari’, is currently trending on Twitter, after Imam of Peace called out the President for releasing Boko Haram members who are said to have “repented”.
The cleric wrote: “He shouldn’t resign. He should be arrested and dragged into the back of a police van and locked up. This corrupt person freed thousands of Boko Haram Terrorists because they repented. They’re now massacring Christians.”

In a similar vein, Mr Omokri, a previous assistant of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, joined the pattern.
He tweeted: “For the lethal action of herders, crooks and different state armies, without his administration doing anything extremely substantial to stop these killings of blameless Nigerians, but instead pardoning them, I completely support #ArrestBuhari.”
On his part, Mr Kanu, pioneer of the prohibited IPOB, expressed: “While numerous individuals representing communities in the government are failing to address the continuous massacre in the Zoo (Nigeria), individuals with an inner voice like @Imamofpeace are standing up to #ArrestBuhari Now you can comprehend that the #TheZooHasFallen Time for #BiafraExit”.
