Agitation: “South South don’t believe in the disintegration of Nigeria”
~ Festus Keyamo
The Minister of State for Labour and employment, Barrister Festus Keyamo has declared that the South Southern parts of Nigeria are not interested in the disintegration of Nigeria and can never be part of it.
Keyamo made the statement during an interview with newsmen where he stressed the need to do away with the ongoing agitations in the country and for all tribes to come together to move Nigeria forward.
According to him, “The people of South South are not interested in the disintegration of Nigeria whatsoever. Though there had been series of agitations from the militants years back, but the agitation doesn’t call for any form of disintegration. All thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari who came with a clear mandate to liberate Nigeria from collapsing under the PDP government.
“There’s no part of Nigeria today that has not felt the impact of President Muhammadu Buhari’s good leadership. A leadership built on transparency, equity, justice and infrastructural development.
“That is why it is important to have a non tribalistic leader in the helm of affairs because President Buhari does not believe in marginalization, anything the North is getting, the East, West, and South are getting immediately. Is it quality roads, good hospitals, youth employments, name it. Second Niger Bridge is almost done, massive youth empowerment in the South South. With all this, tell me why Nigerians should not be grateful for having President Muhammadu Buhari as their leader. It’s good if all the tribes in Nigeria, especially the Eastern parts of Nigeria could drop their agitation and come together let’s move Nigeria forward”
