The director-general of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, has reacted to the Court of Appeal judgement that sacked Oshiomhole – Oshiomhole was suspended on Tuesday, June 16, as the national chairman of APC – Okechukwu, however, described Oshiomhole’s suspension as a blessing to the party.
Following the confirmation of the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the director-general of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, has hailed the court’s verdict.
This Day reports that he described Oshiomhole’s suspension by the appellate court sitting in Abuja, as a big relief to the party. Legit.ng gathered that his statement was coming as the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, said that he has agreed to help his counterpart in Edo state, Godwin Obaseki, to teach Oshiomhole a lesson in the state.
“I have agreed to help Obaseki teach Oshiomhole a lesson in Edo state. Oshiomhole should go and ask Amaechi how far,” Wike tweeted.

Source: UGC Okechukwu argued that a man who lost his ward, local government and state exco has no reason to remain chairman. “Let us be frank, and do a careful review of Adams’ stewardship and take our party as a company in the stock market. As MD of APC Plc and taking states controlled in 2019 as stocks; did Adams pass or fail? He failed woefully,” Okechukwu added.
It was reported that immediately after having a close conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, June 16, it became clear that the Edo governor was not ready to throw in the towel.
The governor did not go alone as his deputy, Philip Shaibu also took to the part of his master in a decision that made the Edo election now unpredictable. There are indications that the governor will join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in due course. The report confirmed that with the country waiting for Obaseki to reveal his next plan after resignation, PDP has delayed its screening results on the aspirants.
